In the last 24 hours, 4,767 cases and 57 deaths of coronavirus have been reported in Pakistan. The prime minister's message came just hours after the country's domestic and foreign marriages were banned due to an increase in the number of Korean virus infections.

On March 20, PM Khan tested positive for the coronavirus. He is recovering from the virus and will be able to start working again in a few days.

Commenting on his health, he said, "When the Senate was elected, I could not exercise caution during the last two waves and I was infected with the virus."

"Wear a face mask because it makes you safer," he added.

"Can't apply lockdown"

The Prime Minister said that Pakistan did not have the resources to impose lockdown in the country.

"We cannot close the country," Khan said. "We cannot enforce a lockdown because we do not have the resources to provide food and care for the people."

He added that even rich countries do not have such resources.

"Cases are growing rapidly," he warned, adding that the hospital was full of people and they were going to ventilators.

The Prime Minister said that the world was facing a shortage of vaccines. He said he wanted people to avoid weddings and restaurants.
