Children and Youngs Seem to Be Less Affected by Latest Wave of Covid-19, Says Dr. Faisal Exclusive

Special Assistant for Health Dr. Faisal Sultan said that the corona vaccine will be permanently available in April, May, and June. In addition to SOPs, vaccines can prevent the disease.

While talking with (mnm.com.pk)  This morning, Dr Faisal Sultan said that there was no significant difference in the rate of infection in children infected with the corona virus. It is not that many young people are suffering from this disease. The first and second waves also reported cases of corona virus in young people, so the third wave did not increase it dangerously.


Regarding vaccination, he said that 800,000 people over the age of 60 have registered while 250,000 Pakistanis have been vaccinated so far. Dr. Faisal Sultan also said that despite being registered, many people have not come for vaccination. He said that the registration process for people above 50 years of age started two days ago and so far more than one million people have registered. Regarding the cost of private vaccines, he said the court would fix the price in a week.


Qasim Soomro, Sindh's parliamentary health secretary, said the province had received the NOCNCOC two days ago to administer the corona vaccine. The cost of the vaccine is to be determined by the DRP. Sindh has requested Drip to fix vaccine prices.


The NCOC said 98 more people died from the coronavirus in a single day. The death toll rose to 14,530, with 4,974 new cases reported in 24 hours.


The NCOC said that the total number of cases has reached 672,931. The number of active cases of corona in Pakistan is 53,127.


At an inter-provincial committee meeting on Wednesday, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah proposed a complete lockdown for 15 days. Murad Ali Shah said inter-provincial transport should be closed for two weeks. Crown Prince is under control in Sindh but service will have to be stopped. The situation is dangerous in other provinces besides Sindh. Murad Ali Shah said that vaccination of patients should be done immediately.


 The Prime Minister rejected the proposal of lockdown of Sindh Chief Minister and directed him to continue the process of vaccination against polio.
