Authorities lock down multiple areas in Karachi’s Korangi district Due to Covid19

 (mnm.com.pk) Authorities have implemented micro-smart lockdown in several areas of Korangi district of Karachi.


These areas include Bilal Colony, Mehran Town, Sector 6B in Korangi UC One, Nasir Colony, Sector 32E in UC2, Korangi 2 Chak Chakragot, Sector 33E in UC3, Model Colony UC One, Mehran Depot, and Gilaniabad. ۔

The above areas will remain locked down until April 9, subject to the following restrictions:


  • People entering or leaving these areas must wear face masks
  • The movement of residents will be restricted
  • With the exception of grocery stores and pharmacies, all businesses will remain closed
  • Only one attendant was required, with a patient allowed
  • Gathering in any way will not be allowed
  • Happiness, riding, riding is prohibited in these areas
  • Public transport will be suspended

The notification said that the district administration would make every effort to provide rations to the needy people in these areas.

It will also try to provide mobile dispensaries and utility stores for the convenience of the citizens.
